A BROKEN DOLL
As a young wife, Nora Torvald had the ideal image of a happy family. She was young
enough that she had the energy to keep her older husband happy, and yet was too young
to understand the dynamics of a mature and honest relationship. Although, Nora enjoyed
playing house, she was expected to fulfil the role of a wife without any problems. She

Nora knew the consequences of her actions, however, failed
to tell her husband what she had done until it was too late. Nora destroyed her family as
well as herself. She felt the pressure to conform to what a good wife was without little
experience, but failed to become what was expected of her. Nora ended up alone,
without her husband and without her children.
