The book I am going to examine for my specialist study is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. In this essay, I will be studying the author’s views on society, which are expressed through both themes and characters.
The world in which Huxley sets the novel is apparently very idealistic, in fact an utopia, and shows a society where everyone knows their place and sticks to it. This

me think of how programmed we are to believe so strongly of the society we live in, and really any sense of freedom or happiness we have is only because we are made to think of it in that way. This book challenged me to think of important issues about society, it also raised my consciousness of the way people are governed. This novel is definitely not one in which Mustapha Mond would approve of.
