Upon returning to Rome, I was hailed as a hero for surviving the great ordeal that was placed upon me. My men are dead and I wonder what would have become of me had I not escaped Grendel’s lair. I sacrificed my arms for Rome so that I can live to tell this story of Beowulf and the vicious Grendel.
