Beowulf was the strongest and bravest man in the world. Decedent from the great Scyld, nothing would stop him from achieving excellence. Every opportunity that arose for Beowulf to prove himself as the greatest warrior was taken up and for the most part won. He fights and dies in the name of his country. Beowulf went down in history as a great king and the Geats did not live happily ever after, as foreshadowed at the end of the poem.
