that’s not enough, “The Catcher in the Rye” played a part in the assassination of John Lennon, a very brilliant man, who brought peace to America when it was needed.
If the offensive language, insulting sexuality, corrupt characters, and unnecessary violence doesn’t make you cringe at this overrated piece of literature, then at least don’t influence our children by telling them they relate to Holden and the characters of J.D. Salinger.
