Child Development Observation of a Child My observation of a child was done with a thirteen-month-old boy by the name of Tommy. My observation was done at Tommy’s house. Tommy showed many of the areas of development while eating and playing. The developmental areas of children are very important to know and to recognize. Knowing the “norm” for child development will allow you to recognize if your child, or others, is developing at the pace that is proper for their age group.
