In its essence religion is a set of beliefs, traditions, and practices that define the way in which people worship GOD. Its purpose is to create an individual connection with oneself and with GOD. Religion, when kept pure, has done remarkable things for mankind. But when it becomes corrupt, it is responsible for incredible suffering.

Its corruption is unfortunate and has lead to incredible suffering, whether it be Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, or any other religion of the world. We witness it everyday of our lives in forms of child molesting, wars, terrorism, and even fighting in Ireland. Religion can be a great thing, but as long as people blind themselves to the truth, the suffering will go on.
