The Cuban missile crisis was a very serious time period for the United States. In October 1962, an American spy plane took pictures showing that the Soviets were secretly building missile bases in Cuba. Even though he was panicked, he didn’t show it, so the people didn’t get panicked. I think he handled it well because he was prepared for any outcome. He had the planes flying over Cuba ready to drop nuclear bombs, and he also was constantly negotiating with Khrushchev.
