Cubism
One of the pioneers of cubism was Pablo Picasso. Many works by other artists resemble Picasso’s and other cubists work. Filtering through our 20th century art book I’ve found three such works. One is a work by David Bomberg called Vision of Ezekiel. It shares the same cubist forms and limits the curves to angled lines. It also places shadows on sharp angles. Another example is Lyonel Fieninger’s piece Village Church.

to angled lines. It also places shadows on sharp angles. Another example is Lyonel Fieninger’s piece Village Church. This work also shares some of the same qualities and also shows different views of the church at the same time. The third piece with cubist qualities is Cubist Nude by Liubov Popova. Besides the obvious in the title, this piece reduces the subject to simple shapes and seems to show alternate angles simultaneously.
