to his downfall was not that he had a dream, but that he knew he hadn’t and couldn’t achieve it, but continued to act and think that he had. Throughout the play Willy’s character deteriorates and worsens as he drift further and further into his fantasy world. As he drifts into this world, the ever approaching choice of suicide gets closer. Willy could no longer live his dream and ended his life.
