The Death Penalty is different from all other forms of punishments in that it cannot be reversed and therefore should be abolished. Murderers are not discouraged from committing crimes even with the death penalty as a punishment. is a savage piece of uncivilized society. It is unfair and discriminatory in practice and immoral in principle. It has no effect on preventing crimes and thus it serves no purpose. The death penalty needs to be abolished from the thirty-eight states that have it.
