These figures were carved in the shape of farmers performing different daily tasks, and symbolized that death did not excuse Egyptians from work. The shabits’ purpose was to perform life deeds after death, or “farm the eternal fields”. All in all, the Egyptian Hall at the Carnegie Museum offered a lot of interesting facts, and it was a great way to study a past culture
