Through the themes of Farewell to Arms and “Indian Camp” Ernest Hemingway shows his views of life. The characters in Farewell to arms and Indian camp also reflect Hemingway’s thoughts on life.
In a Farewell to arms the two main characters Catharine and Fredrick go through many hard times. For example they struggle to keep a relationship during WWI. They decide to escape the war and go to Switzerland.

He believes we should endure life and live it no matter what. He also believes that life is a series of challenges and it tries to break us. And lastly Hemingway believes that we should search for the meaning to life.
