Galapagos Island
This paper will discuss the rhetorical differences and stylistic effects used in the two passages about the Galapagos Island.
To begin with, the first passage describes the lack of vegetation found on the Galapagos Island using vivid language in an informational form. In line 31 the author states, “cut by the equator, they know not autumn, and they know not spring”. In this line the author uses poetry to describe the never changing forests. They never see autumn or spring because of their location.
