Genetic Engineering
Should genetic engineering be limited? Of course it should. Without restriction, it would be carried to the extreme, and chaos would result. The more important, and more controversial, question is to what extent should genetic engineering be limited? While some protest the inherent dangers that accompany biotechnology, others see the potential advancements that this new science makes possible.
Many protesters can’t see past the fact that scientists are trying to “play God.” They feel

diseased ones in humans or other organisms.
While there is still a lot of testing to be conducted, genetic engineering has major potential. I don’t think it’s fair to limit testing right now without first discovering all of the possible uses. Testing can definitely be controlled and isolated to prevent the contamination of natural growing crops. Overall, this new science must be explored farther before any decisions on its use can be made.
