The one exception was in 1999 when they gave researchers in Hawaii permission to grow a one-quarter acre test plot of the crop. Hemp is nature's strongest, longest, and most durable fiber. As a fabric it is more insulating, softer, more breathable, more absorbent, and also longer lasting than cotton.
