Freedom The theme of freedom surfaces frequently in the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Throughout the book, the most obvious controversy about freedom is Jim’s situation. However, the story ends with Huck saying, “...Aunt Sally she’s going to adopt me and sivilize me, and I can’t stand it. I been there before (Twain 294).” This last statement proves that the struggle for freedom is never-ending. One must be strong and do what they feel is the right thing.
