Ever since the first man or woman set foot on earth, their primal instinct has been survival, not doing what is right or helping others. Unfortunately, humans are the same way today, and it seems every day you hear of a more deranged criminal. With such clear examples of savagery in the world- slavery, mass murderers, wars- humans being innately good just are not a possibility.
