The Save the Children’s Foundation began in 1932 and was created by a women whose name was Eglantyne Jebb. Eglantyne became interested in this by first helping children and families in Europe who suffered from poverty after WWII. In 1923 Jebb wrote a document stating the five rights we owe to children which are as follows;
1. The child who is hungry must be fed; the child who is sick must be nursed; the Children

before the House of Representatives and declared that their should be a “Save the Children's Day” For 18 years Ms. Struthers has worked tirelessly to help disfranchised, hungry, and uneducated children of the world. Sally is recognized for her outstanding service as the children's ambassador for Save the Children and for continuing efforts to help secure a brighter future for all children. It is further resolved that February 22, 1995 will be observed as “Save the Children's Day”
