…showed last 75 words of 1928 total…the insight of Swift by coming to many of the same conclusions. Swift, however, was not without hope. Humanity need not remain malicious indefinitely. Swift wrote to Charles Ford that his "Travells . . . will wonderfully mend the World" (Swift, 263). Swift appreciated the goodness of the individual. And if the individual is good, is there not hope for the mending of the group? If the stars continue to burn bright, perhaps one day so will the galaxy.
