Ideals
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines ideal as “a standard of perfection, beauty, or excellence,” but what does this definition have to do with one’s beliefs? The way this relates to an individual’s beliefs is simply that a person has ideas he believes will be society better if they are put into place. Thus, ideals relating to peoples beliefs can be defined as “beliefs people have that they believe will help society if adopted.”
