Chapter 1
Keirla’s Story
Keirla’s tail swooshed back and forth angrily as she stared at the small, cluttered room before her.
Boxes were piled around her so that there was barely any room to stand.
Keirla’s claws flashed as she swiped at an empty box beside her. The shredded cardboard rained to the ground in a manner much like confetti.
A tear sprang to her eye as she thought of her mother who,

the crowd all cheered for Kima, none of them knew Keirla.
Kima met Keirla’s gaze, Keirla was surprised, she could see it in Kima’s eyes, she didn’t want to be doing this, but in a morbid way, this satisfied some of her desires that were deeper than anything on the surface.
Suddenly, they heard shouts moving through the crowd, and a scholarly looking man emerged from amidst the chaos of the onlookers.
