The light however is always a sign of an prophecy like something will change, the characters in this play like Danford believes light will win darkness, like hangings must occur right on the strike of dawn, or eternity will never accept evil to continue in the day.
This type of imagery used in the dialogue indicates to us the author’s holiness in the characters strong spirit.
