The generator, acting as a huge alternator, actually created the electricity. The electricity is measured in megawatts. The average citizen should now fully understand what goes into powering those lights in the morning, what makes the air conditioner cool, and even what makes that small hair dryer work. Electricity sure is amazing to me.
