People were racist and treated slaves inhumanely. Throughout this novel people are treated inhumanely. Huck sees this and reacts accordingly. He tries to help everyone. Society has many flaws; one is how poorly people are treated. This novel shows the wrong treatment of people. People treat people inhumanely.
