Minority Report
In Minority Report the conventions of genre support the composer’s (Steven Spielberg) vision.
The conventions of genre include the settings, characters, plot, themes etc and Minority Report’s conventions follow most of the common Sci-fi conventions.
The settings in sf are usually futuristic cities or in space, Minority Report is set in the near future, in a futuristic city in America and therefore supports Spielberg’s vision.

it has quite a few dark moments. It is some what dystopian and pessimistic, with a some what bleak look for the future in term of security and personal well-being.
The language used in Minority Report is the same as nowadays with the exception of the technical jargon but which is nothing too advanced.
So therefore Minority Report does use a lot of aspect of the conventions of Sci-fi to support Steven Spielberg’s vision.
