She has abandoned her earlier photographs of drag queens and sexual exploration, which was indicative of her life at the time, and has moved forward to photograph children in a different stage of exploration, and even landscapes. The most important thing about Nan Goldin’s work is that it is honest. It’s the only work she knew how to do because it’s the only life she had to document.
