The occupation of a Registered Nurse seems to take an enormous amount of responsibility. The duties of a Registered Nurse are many. The R.N. "helps individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain their health." The working conditions of a nurse range from one extreme to the next. In all places of work for a nurse it is always well lighted. Another plus is comfortable medical facilities. The downsides of this occupation are that you may work nights, weekends, and holidays. The hazards are injury to back from moving patients, shocks from electrical equipment, and working around compressed gas(O.O.H. 160). The pay compensates for the risks.
