I came to Canada 17 years ago from Poland. My last job in Poland was a lecturer of political science at university. Peers, obviously, may have a good and bad influence on youngsters. Some studies indicate that peers have a bigger influence on children upbringing than parents have. How to make sure that students pick up those traits from their colleagues that are positive is a tremendous challenge for both parents and teachers.
