All of these examples show what a tragic story Romeo and Juliet is. The story fits the category of a tragic film {according to the Microsoft 2001 Encarta dictionary definition of “tragedy”} These lovers were denied their right to live “…happily ever after…” because of misunderstandings and family feuding. It was not just one tragedy in this story, but a series of unhappy events that led to the deaths of the heroes of the story.
