Midstream they met. Challenger and champion,
They fought a war for honor
Fierce, sharp, but with no honor;
Each had a simple aim and sought it quickly.
The combat over the victor sailed away
Broken, but placid as the gift of swans,

To round off, I would say that Dyment`s poem is very effective. Despite the simple vocabulary, it is very interesting how events are associated, and how some words can create a fabulous atmosphere. I felt very attracted by the theme which gave me the opportunity to use my creativity, formulate my own ideas and interpret the message given.
