Robert Rauschenberg Robert Rauschenberg was born Milton Rauschenberg on October 22, 1925, in Port Arthur, Texas. Guggenheim Museum, New York, exhibited the largest exhibit of Rauschenberg’s work to date, which traveled to Houston and to Europe in 1998. Rauschenberg works are both visually and intellectually striking, besides being amazing compositions that defy classic art. His use of several different mediums and “action” art style makes his work exceedingly profound and interesting.
