In the prologue, Shakespeare decides to tell the audience that two lovers, Romeo and Juliet, are going to die, and in telling us so, seals their fate. Yet, the concept of fate is throughout the play, and with the lovers being, “star-crossed,” (Prologue) indicates that fate is against them. In the end, fate is the means death

of the reasons why the two lovers died. If the two families, was at peace with each other instead of at war, Romeo and Juliet, need not conceal their actions and if the war between the families did not exist then the lovers would have certainly not died.
Overall I think that fate played the biggest part within the play, as too much coincidence would have to be involved for the story to happen otherwise.
