A good example supporting the strategic CSR is in the case of Malden Mill burned factory, the owner continued to pay workers salaries until the new plant was built. This resulted an increase in productivity by 25% and quality defects decreased by 2/3 (Daviss, 2001, cited in Lantos, 2001).
