Taxes: Are They Needed? Through out the years, people have always complained that they have to pay too many taxes. But in reality, the government needs those taxes. In conclusion, I think Mr. Holmes was a very smart man when he said we need taxes. I hate to admit it that taxes are needed but in reality they are. Hopefully in the future the government will find another way to get money rather than taxes. But until then we will have to continue to pay.
