Just thinking about how much these epics have taught us and how much we have learned from them makes me want to know about the writer’s background, his inspirations, his life, etc. Even thought I believe there was a Homer, the theory of the “many Homers” makes me wonder about his existence. So I will just stay with the view of Homer as a simple Shakespeare.
