This was a time period where art, knowledge, literature, and most especially culture flourished. …showed last 75 words of 327 total…would think that during this time of enlightenment that everyone would have been enlightened, but that was not so. A woman had very limited power in this time period and even lesser value. Perhaps it is some form of irony that things were so then. If femininity had flourished at the same time that the Renaissance took place there would have been an almost Utopian society, and that would have been asking for too much.
