Prospero is initially plotting his revenge, yet by the end of the play, we have reconciliation and Prospero has forgiven his enemies- "For you, most wicked sir, whom to call brother Would even infect my mouth, I do forgive Thy rankest fault - all of them;" The result is compellingly ethical and it appears in contrast to the truly imaginative and magic world the audience is in.
