This is a timid and dark story about a lady who is in a nursery with the decorated with wallpaper that somehow makes her feel like she¡¯s treated like inmate or child.
The wallpaper itself serves as a metaphor for disintegration. With reading little bit of a background, the main character could reflect the writer¡¯s own integrity or destiny.

It speaks to her and protagonist at the same time.
The wallpaper seems to implicate the reality of blocked world. And in which she gets stuck, she could not be any creative and innovative, and eventually, no such things to fulfill her self desire.
She ends up rips the wallpaper off the wall. This is the part I don¡¯t understand what she really is meant to be.
