…showed last 75 words of 595 total…it is fitting for someone to die for one's country. Owen does an excellent job of illustrating his point, and opens the common citizen's mind to that of a soldier's. Everything from the message to the structure of the poem is brilliant. Nonetheless, after reading of such a brutal way to die, one could not help but agree that the value of one's life is far from the value of one's death for a country.
