Tobacco Demarketing
With all of the controversy surrounding the tobacco industry, I believe that it would be an ideal candidate for demarketing. The tobacco industry seems to have all the odds stacked against it these days. It seems like every time you turn on the news there’s some kind of lawsuit being filed against the tobacco companies. Now I’m not defending tobacco. I don’t smoke, and personally I can’t stand people smoking around

Whether tobacco companies deserve to be sued or not is not the issue. The issue is what can they do to keep from being sued in the future. They need to demarket their product and redirect their advertising away from young people. As the public begins to see and hear less about tobacco, the less it will be concerned with the issue of tobacco.
