We have entered into a society with an indulgence for quick and easy food. Today, unhealthy food choices have been made too convenient, and this is perhaps a response to the increasingly hectic, fast paced world of work. The nine-to-five work day is no longer the norm. For the new generation, we have grown up with hectic single parent homes, very tight budgets, and the presence of fast food restaurants everywhere we go. While franchises are slowly adding smarter choices to their menus, the choices are not as cost efficient or convenient as other, more popular items. The overall results have proven to be very fattening indeed.
