The American involvement in the Vietnam War was a waste of lives and money. In addition, it accomplished nothing for the American public as well as nothing for southern Vietnam. In so doing, they failed to prevent the spread of communism, failed to maintain any alliances and in the mean time lost billions of dollars and millions of lives as well. The Vietnam war proved nothing and gained nothing. No war is good but a war fought for all the wrong reasons is doubly evil.
