War Poetry

War is not a game. It is a destruction tool used to destroy people's lives. Mostly innocent civilians lives. When I think about war it resembles a tidal wave, where ever the battle goes it destroys the surroundings, just like a 50-foot wave of water. It is such a powerful tool that it brings men, women and children to tears, brings entire nations to a halt and leaves us with death, destruction and painful memories. …showed first 75 words of 942 total…

…showed last 75 words of 942 total…We notice that its very peaceful imagery. Peaceful and quite is what we know from reading. In addition, there is a rhythm going throughout the poem, these simple rhyming couplets are used to keep the reader reading. In addition to the imagery the first four stanzas are pleasant e.g. "the small town of Claudy at ease in the sun". The second stanza is still peaceful. The fourth stanza is just describing an everyday scenario.
