Following World War II the proportion of women who were employed in factories dropped drastically. This was partly due to the fact that many men were coming home form fighting in the war, and took their old jobs back. Federal and state aid to child-care centers in factories was stopped. The issue that leads the people to believe that women haven’t gained full equality is salary. They say that women are not paid as much as men even if they work in same position and have the same degree. Women have come a long way from the late forties and early fifties.
