The term to define consists of two words with different meanings. tries to be different from their parents but as an example the Techno and Rave movement of the 90’s: those youths praise love and music (e.g. the Love Parade) but isn’t all that similar to the Hippie cult of the seventies? It’s difficult to really find something new that can really change society like the subcultures of the 60’s and 70’s did and therefore the protest in the 90’s is less important.
