Sometime around 1968 a hippie calling herself Gee Sus moved into an old abandoned farmhouse in the north east countryside of Essex with friend, Penny Rimbaud. They had both felt disillusioned by what they saw going on in society around them and had decided to finally try and make a real change. They chose to take the sixties idea of "do it yourself" to a new level. Quitting the art school they had been attending together

own recordings to make video collages for their onstage performances. She also created the propaganda art to decorate the stage, designed anarchist newspapers, and later did all the artwork for the bands records.
The first of Gee Sus's artwork to begin appearing, quite literally, to the public was her stenciled graffiti pieces. They were made up of shock slogans and various symbols, and despite there simplicity an appealing artistic balance and sublimity can be felt.
