9. In my opinion the main nutrient source for the bean embryo was the food inside the cotyledon. The water that the beans were stored in, also played an important part. It kept the beans wet so they didn’t go bad.
10. Three sources of material that could contribute to the gain in the embryo’s weight are the food inside the cotyledon, water and other nutrients.
