Media violence effects the American family in numerous ways. Children are subjected to violence through all types of media. Television, music, video games, and the Internet are all easy access to today’s youth, and each of these is filled with displays of violence. Children today spend more time watching television than they do at school. There is no wonder that there is so much crime these days with kids watching so much television and seeing nothing but violence that what they are learning and that is what they are doing. If violence is reduced in television and in movies it wont stop all the crime that goes on in this country but it might help to reduce it.
