Another female character in Hamlet is Ophelia, daughter of Polonius. She also played a passive role in the play. Ophelia also received commands same as Gertrude did. “This is for all: I would not, in plain terms, from this time forth have you so slander any moment leisure as to give words or talk with the Lord Hamlet” (Hamlet 651). This was the command that was given to Ophelia by Polonius.
